All applications are reviewed by a CHW Training Program Review Committee. The CHW Training Program Review Committee is a community-led, inclusive volunteer workgroup, composed of CHWs, CHW Stakeholders and/or CHW Allies. The role of the Review Committee is to review all CHW training program applications to ensure minimum requirements outlined by the MDHHS Medicaid Policy are met and issue a final determination.

The review and scoring process will align with the National Core Competency Standards (C3) and Michigan Medicaid policy requirements. This ensures that the approved training programs adhere to the highest standards, providing CHWs with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

In fostering a transparent and impartial evaluation process, it is important to note that MiCHWA staff does not directly engage in the scoring of applications; instead, they serve to support and facilitate the efforts of the Review Committee.
